50 years into the 1000 years. Brothers I'am fed up working from sunrise till sunset on my damn farm, 7 days a week. I hate farming, driving a buggy, no music except those damn kingdom songs and walking outside in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. The wife wasn't a good cook before and now without the seasoning to add flavor, everything taste like sh---t. I live 50 miles from the beach, it takes us a day to reach it. I would love to live on the beach but noooo, you A-holes assigned our home in the middle of no where. We have no electricity or running water and we are running out of candles, man I be glad when Satan is released.

by Joliette inme and my brother recently got into a discussion about the 1,000 reign.

Does the younger generation have our work ethic?
by compound complex ingreetings, you hard workers:.
i've had enough of speaking in generalities during my time as a jw evangelizer.
while my own experience will offer up mere anecdotal examples at best, my contemporaries and i have found that kids today lack the earnestness and drive we older folks have had since youth: setting up a lemonade stand; doing yard work without power assist; mopping floors; running errands for a dime; cleaning parking lots, etc.

I agree with WTWizard. We had opportunities to develop work ethics. You could have a paper route at 9 or 10 years old and not get mugged and plus who deliver papers these days, adults in cars. Summer time there were jobs for high school kids, but not today. Who works at the big Mac these days or at the car wash, folks that are adults with families. In other words there are not a lot of places where young folks can develop a good work ethic before they become an adult. My first job a paper route (8-9 years old), cut lawns, car wash and worked in a restaurant through high school. Those same jobs today for someone under the age of 16, forget it...

My friend heard of this guru who lived in India who knew the meaning of life, so he took the next flight to India. When he landed he took a train to the end of the line, he then rented a jeep and drove it to the foothills and then he borrowed a donkey and rode it until the donkey could not go no further, he walked the rest of the way. He found the guru cave and entered it. He asked the guru the meaning of life. The guru said that the meaning of life was mushrooms. At first my friend was confused but the more he thought about the more it made sense. He ran out of the cave down the mountain, rode his donkey to the jeep and his jeep to the train to the airport. After land ing at LAX he called his friends and told them he knows the meaning of life. After he told us the meaning of life we had questions and he could not answer any of our questions. Well he took the next flight back to India, and the same grueling trip.He entered the cave a second time and told the guru the the meaning of life can not be mushrooms. The guru said, "Well then it must be turnips"..

Two virgin births in the Bible, who knew?
by Crazyguy inin the famous verse from mathew chapter 1 verse 23 i believe the writer proclaims that mary a virgin was going to give birth to a son he would be called emmanuel.

Yes completely inconsistent with Matthew's application of these passages to his virgin birth story. Isaiah only mention "the young woman"..

God wipes out humans/wickedness in Noah's Flood but somehow wickedness returns
by RULES & REGULATIONS ingenesis 6: 9-139 this is the account of noah and his family.noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with god.
10 noah had three sons: shem, ham and japheth.11 now the earth was corrupt in god’s sight and was full of violence.12 god saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.
13 so god said to noah, “i am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them.

Nephilim before the flood and after the flood, Numbers 13:33. Someone managed to tread water for 40 days and nights, and they became like grasshoppers in their sight. So I guess the Nephilim's were so tall the flood didn't wipe them out, their heads above water you might say..

What Is The Most Ridiculous Thing You Have Heard From A Witness?
by minimus ini remember an elder questioning a woman who had admitted to giving and receiving oral sex from her unbelieving mate.
he asked her the most intimate questions which clearly flustered her.
interestingly, she “confessed “ to the elders because her conscience bothered her.

JW's Blow Their Own Trumpet Each Month
by The Fall Guy inw06 12/1 p. 27 par.
11 what it means to love our neighbor - “jesus commissioned his followers to preach and to teach and to “make disciples of people of all the nations.” by our participation in this work, we show love for......... neighbor.”.
by recording the number of hours of “love” shown to neighbours each month in their monthly report slip, aren't jw's in reality doing what christ said not to do?.

What if God never changed the languages
by pleaseresearch inwe have the account of god changing our languages and thus we all separated all over the world.. i wonder how different, maybe even peaceful if god didn't do that.. looking at the story now it seems pathetic that he needed to do this to stop men wanting to reach the heavens to take a sneaky peek at him.
we've been much further than mankind back then could have ever imagined and god isn't visible.. but yeah how different would history have been if this account never happened..

We have a bunch of folks just trying to survive, making a living and in case God decide to flood the earth they may stay dry. I'am sure they all knew the story, YHWH was a little upset with mankind and killed a bunch of folks. So my thought, they desired to build a tower to heaven as a sort of gratitude for God's good grace and in case He go off the deep end and open the flood gates a second time they may have a chance . I guess God doesn't like intruders in his heavenly domain.
